Privacy policy

This policy explains what Dimbi Games collects about you, why, and what happens to it.

What we collect

Account details. Your email address, first name and last name, and a hashed copy of your password. Your email address is also your username.

Invitation record. The invite code you signed up with, which links your account to the member who invited you. This is how the site stays invitation-only and how it holds members accountable for who they invite.

Game activity. Your characters, progress, in-game actions and chat messages, which the games need in order to work.

Subscription and payments. If you subscribe: your plan, its start, renewal and cancellation dates, and a record of each payment (amount, date and the payment provider's reference). Card details are entered with our payment provider and handled by them; the site never receives or stores your full card number.

Technical data. Your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, kept in the site's logs.

Cookies. A session cookie that keeps you signed in and a small number of cookies that remember your preferences. The site sets no advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

How we use it

To create your account and let you sign in.

To send you the confirmation code when you sign up, and account emails such as password resets.

To run the games and show other players what they need to see, such as your character name and in-game actions.

To take subscription payments, unlock the characters a subscription covers, and keep the financial records the law requires.

To keep the site safe: to investigate abuse reports, apply bans, keep referral standing, and enforce the one-account-per-person rule. To spot one person holding more than one account, we may compare account details, invitation records and technical data such as IP addresses.

To keep the site running: diagnosing errors and protecting against attacks.

Who can see it

Other members see your in-game identity and anything you say or do in the games. The member who invited you can see that their invite was used and by whom. Site staff can see your account details and activity logs when running the site.

We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers. Data leaves the site only when a service provider needs it to deliver the site (for example, hosting, email delivery and payment processing) or when the law requires it. Our payment provider receives what it needs to take your payment, under its own privacy policy.

How long we keep it

Your account data is kept while your account exists. If you ask for your account to be deleted, your personal details are removed and any records that must stay for safety reasons (such as bans) are kept without your name attached. Payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after your account is deleted.

Your choices

You can update your name and password from your profile at any time. To have your account deleted, or to ask for a copy of the data held about you, email support@dimbi.org.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so on the site. Continuing to use Dimbi Games after a change means you accept the updated policy.
